About Little Songbirds Holiday Camp

At our Little Songbirds Holiday Camp, we believe that music is more than just notes; it's a language of the heart that can nurture a child's creativity, confidence, and social skills. Through engaging activities like singing games, rhythm exploration, and creative movement, your child will develop essential musical skills while having a blast!

• Making a paper larynx - A creative activity to learn about the human voice and sound production.
• Storytelling with voices - Exploring the different sounds children can make with their voices.
• Rhythm exploration - Learning about different rhythms using instruments and body movements.
• Expression with colours - Developing fine motor skills and creativity with music.
• Music Immersion - Exploring different emotions through music and movement.

About the Course Instructor
Cheryl's heart has always been drawn to helping others find their way. Over the years, she's been given many opportunities to find her strengths and discovering what she believes to be her calling. Today, she feels very blessed to serve as both a Vocal Specialist and a Life Coach.

As a Vocal Specialist, she's passionate about helping people discover their authentic voice and express themselves with confidence. And as a Life Coach, she find deep fulfilment in guiding people on their personal journeys, helping them discover their purpose and living a life true to who they are.

She find these two roles to be deeply interconnected. The mind and body work together in harmony e.g. self-consciousness prevents vocal freedom. Through her work as a Life Coach, she discovered the profound connection between our thoughts, emotions, and vocal expression. This understanding has enriched her approach to her work as a Vocal Specialist, allowing her to support her students/clients on a deeper level.

Cheryl holds a Higher Diploma in Contemporary Vocal Teaching from The Voice College (UK), a Certificate in Voice Disorders from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (NYC), and a Certificate in Fundamentals of Early Childhood Music Pedagogy. She is a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS).
